IX KEF - Time of strategic initiatives

Strategic initiatives necessary today in the country, and prospect projects aimed at the development of Russia and its regions are the key topics of the 9th Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum which will be held on February 16-18, 2012. 

The 9th Krasnoyarsk Forum will start with the display “Investments. Innovations. Infrastructure. The future of Siberia". On the same day in the framework of the forum 2012 the young people’s Forum called “Universiade. Krasnoyarsk ambitions” will be held for the fourth time. After a serious and strict competition young managers from the whole country will take part in this Forum.

On the first day of business program the sectional discussion called “Strategic initiatives necessary for Russia and its regions at the moment” will take place together with six more sectional discussions on different actual topics. It is planned that representatives of president administration and government of Russian Federation, as well as representatives of main federal ministries, regional and municipal power, will take part in the Forum, those people are considered to be competent in realization of modernization programs and projects. It is also supposed that representatives of development institutes and state corporations realizing innovation projects, leading experts, scientists and businessmen will take part in the work of the Forum.

  Project on creating an innovation cluster of nuclear and space technologies proves that Krasnoyarsk region which pretends to be innovative. However, besides making new innovative enterprises, we have to promote our projects on different levels. No less important is the question of modern infrastructure development, creating urban surrounding of higher level.

  Traditionally foreign investors' capital is directed in the countries where there is a beneficial investment climate, the main features of which are tax legislation, possibilities of efficient capital investment, level of general infrastructure, high level of qualification and training of managers, and also a positive attitude to the foreign vested interests of local powers.

  Having overcome the crisis 2008–2009, Russian economics starts a new phase of development characterized by the movement to innovation orientated young people. Pre-crisis way based on values of energy and raw materials is risky as it is vulnerable to rippling of world resource prices. On the threshold of new political period the question of defining strategic initiatives is especially vital. In my opinion, the crisis has revealed the necessity to move to the innovative model of economic development
